Dive sites
Most of the
dive sites
are located within the territory of Aqaba Marine Park and accessible from the shore as well as by boat.
Click on "Dive Facilities" to see all the sites along the shore and then click on the names of sites to read details about each location.
How to get to the dive sites?
The Aqaba Marine Park streches 7 kms along the South Coast.
If you only want to swim or snorkel with your own equipment, you can get here by taxi for around 5 JD.
Ask the driver to come back to pick you up later, if you want, but usually you can find empty taxis heading to the downtown after dropping off their passangers.
There is also a public bus running to the South Coast but please note that it departs from the traffic lights near the Giant Flag and not from the central bus station, like other buses.
If you want to dive, you have to arrange the trip with one of the
dive centers
in the downtown or on the South Coast. Many of them have websites so you can contact them prior to arriving to Jordan. In this case they will take you to the locations by minibus or car or boat.
Aqaba's dive centers are well equipped and have qualified staff to serve and guide divers at all levels of experience.
You can also hire snorkeling equipment from them if you are not into diving.
