Aquamarina 1 Beach

Aquamarina 1 is an older 3-star hotel located in between Intercontinental and the new Saraya Aqaba project.

Allegedly it will be demolished sooner or later but until then you can use its beach facilities for a 5 JD entrance fee.

But do not expect too much.

The actual sandy waterfront is about 5 meters long only with a corridor to the deep sea.

The water in the corridor is shallow, especially during low tides, so it is good for kids to dabble and build sand castles.


Further up there is a sandy area with shades and sunbeds and a beach valleyball ground.

The pool is not waveless and the water did not look clean when we visited.

If you are into swimming, you can jump into the deep water from the jetty.

There are no coral reefs here, so there is no point bringing your snorkel gear, but you can arrange a trip with Aquamarina's dive boat to the South Coast.

Prices at the beach bar: a glass of fresh orange juice costs 2 JD and a 330 ml fizzy drink is 1.20 JD.
