Public Minibuses

Public buses are cheaper than the scheduled coaches but they are smaller, less comfortable, do not have air-conditioning and do not use timetables.

Instead, they depart when the driver thinks he has enough passengers.

They are slower too, as people can gen on and off at any point along the route.

Public buses to Aqaba leave from the Middle East Complex in Wihdat in Amman.

In Aqaba, you can take a public bus to Amman and other destinations like Petra (Wadi Musa) or Wadi Rum near the Police Station.

However, if you are heading to Karak or Tafilah, your buses leave from Al-Humayma street, a little further south from the Al-Hussein Bin Talal mosque.
