Distant Heat Festival 2012, Jordan, 23 August

There is no Distant Heat Festival in 2011, but the organizers promise they will be back on August 23, 2012 for a new era of a festival that calls for world peace, a dance for humanity and a voyage into the wonders of Jordan.

Distant Heat is a dance festival in the desert of Wadi Rum, a most unique venue for a party of this kind with the backdrop of the magnificent Jordanian desert terrain.

The 8th Distant Heat festival will took place on 29 July 2010 in Aqaba and showcased some of the leading international DJs and local electronic dance music artists in an all-night party.

Artists who have performed at the event in the past include Bee Bee, Hasan H, Armin Van Buuren, DJ Raed, Above & Beyond, Josh Gabriel and Rachael Starr.

"Driver and vehicle were very acceptable - and in light of the driving/vehicle conditions in Amman this was most welcome. The service is on the expensive side when compared with the local taxi service but, in my opinion, most worthwhile. The driver was welcoming and very helpful. Luggage handling was completely handled at both ends of the trip in a very professional manner. I would definitely use this service again."
