Do passports from Argentina need Visa to Jordan?

by Jose
(argentina - Israel)

Q: I am from Argentina, now I am in Eilat and I want to cross to Aqaba. I will stay in Aqaba 4 days.
Do I need a prior entrance visa or can I get the visa at the border?

A:
According to the Jordan Tourism Board website the following South and Central American countries are NOT requiring prior visa clearance:

Antigua and Barbuda
Argentina
Bahamas
Barbados
Bolivia
Brazil
Chile
Costa Rica
Dominica
Dominican Republic
Ecuador
Grenada
Guatemala
Guyana
Haiti
Honduras
Jamaica
Mexico
Nicaragua
Panama
Paraguay
Peru
Salvador
Surinam
Trinidad and Tobago
Urughuay
Venezuela

So if you hold Argentinian passport, you can get the Jordan visa at the border.

And, the good news: if you enter Jordan via the Eilat-Aqaba crossing, your visa will be free of charge.
