I will be visiting Jordan during March 2013 end. I am Indian but resident of Oman and holding Indian and Oman Driving Licence
Can I drive a hired car in Jordan using these licence? Do I have to inform any authority or take permission from any authorirty?
Answer: To the best of my knowledge, foreigners can drive rental cars in Jordan if they hold a valid driving license - either international or from their country of residence.
I see no reason why Omani or Indian driving licences would be exceptions.
I suggest you to find a good car rental deal that suits you and then contact the car rental company in order to clear all details about terms and conditions.
