Enjoy Wadi Rum Tours - Half day tour
by Clive
Our guide and driver, Eid showed us what we expected to see and more. He met us right on schedule at the entrance to Wadi Rum and then showed us to a dilapidated looking but reliable Land Cruiser. In four short wonderful hours that made us wish we had much more time, he took us through what has to be one of the most spectacular places on the planet. He showed us Lawrences Spring, Khazali Canyon, Little Rock Bridge, the remote Um Fruth rock bridge, Lawrence's House and as a fun finish, a large sand dune that we were invited to climb and run down. The whole trip was very relaxing and we were allowed as much time as we wanted at each stop. In additon, Eid would pull over and stop the 4x4 at the merest hint that I wanted to take a picture. Having been born and raised in the area, he knew the whole area intimately and was able to answer any questions that we had. Lunch was a very simple but pleasureable affair: At one point, Eid pulled the truck over into the shadow of a large rock and produced a bag of food that consited of pita and a couple of cans of tuna as well as fresh tomatoes and some packaged pastries. We lounged on the warm shaded sandstone munching the simple fare while talking about recipes and life in general. I drank in the scenery of our spectacular lunch spot during this leisurely lunch that seemed to last much longer than it actually did. I would highly recommend Eid from Enjoy Wadi Rum Tours as a guide and companion in Wadi Rum. Dont expect five star luxury during his tour (which I think would detract from the purity of the experience) but do expect the expertise and kindness of someone who is passionate about sharing with others this very special and unique corner of the world. AMMAN AIRPORT TRANSFER
Amman Airport Private Arrival/Departure Transfer
Reviewed by Donald G, May 2011: "Driver and vehicle were very acceptable - and in light of the driving/vehicle conditions in Amman this was most welcome. The service is on the expensive side when compared with the local taxi service but, in my opinion, most worthwhile. The driver was welcoming and very helpful. Luggage handling was completely handled at both ends of the trip in a very professional manner. I would definitely use this service again."
