I bought 16 tickets with Alrayah Events. Until now no money in return. They are not calling back and do promises about refunds. So far no result. Can anyone help me with this ?

The opera did not take place, apparently it was postponed. I bought 2 tickets 200JOD, went to the Roamn Amphitheatre on the night to be informed of this and now still cannot get my money back, i bought at Virgin in City Mall, do you know anything about this? The guys told us September is the new date but no one seems to know, please help

Thanks for your input. I've corrected the name of the Roman Theater here on this page.
However, I'm not sure the organizers of Opera Aida are reading this so I suggest you to contact them via THEIR official website too, if you haven't done it already.

Dear Organizers of Aida,

I am the Founder and Chairman of the Roman re-enactment performances in Jerash, Jordan. Please check www.jerashchariots.com and Google or YouTube on "Jerash chariots".

I know you are in contact with our General Manager Ibrahim Al Ahmad in relation to recruiting 160 extras.

The reason for my email is however that you write in some cases that the performance will be in the Roman "amphitheatre" in Amman. I am afraid it is not an amphitheatre, it is a theatre. You are not alone in this mistake. Through my ten years in Jordan I have corrected many, including Ministers of Tourism!

"Amphi" means roughly "surround" and an amphitheatre has seating all around. Most wellknown example is of course Colloseum in Rome.

Wishing you good luck with the production. Great for us opera buffs in Amman!

"Driver and vehicle were very acceptable - and in light of the driving/vehicle conditions in Amman this was most welcome. The service is on the expensive side when compared with the local taxi service but, in my opinion, most worthwhile. The driver was welcoming and very helpful. Luggage handling was completely handled at both ends of the trip in a very professional manner. I would definitely use this service again."
