Private Tour to Wadi Rum with Viator -
it was a great choice!

After reading many contraversial reviews about guides in Wadi Rum we decided to let Viator organize our one-day trip to Wadi Rum from Amman.

To be honest, we didn't want to hire a car and drive there ourselves and then bargain with a local guide over every detail.

We already had good experience with Viator in another country so we booked their Private Full Day Tour to Wadi Rum.

The driver guide came to pick us up from our hotel in the morning. He was on time and arrived with a nice and clean air-conditioned car.
The drive to Wadi Rum from Amman took some 3 hours on the highway. Fortunately the car was very comfortable and our guide spoke good English so we had great coversations with him.

After arriving to Wadi Rum we changed vehicles and continued our trip on a Jeep 4x4 to the desert with a local bedouin guide whose English was also OK so we could make ourselves understood easily.

Wadi Rum is wonderful, we had many stops at interesting rock formations, took lots of photos. The bedouin was very patient with us when we asked him to stop again and again for the sake of yet another photo of sand dunes and rocks.

We did a short camel ride too and had lunch at a campsite - these were extras, not included in the tour package price.
The lunch was cooked on the open fire, chicken with some yoghurt and salad, very tasty!

Finally got back to our car tired but happy. On the way back to Amman my husband went on discussing the World Cup with our driver while I fell asleep on the backseat of the car.

Sure it was a worthwhile trip, unforgettable experience!
