Never have I been so insulted for being a woman like when I lived in Jordon, ie Aqaba, and called so many names, like whore, qahba in the streets by children that are obviously indoctunated against us Britts.

Also, the amount of prostitutes in this small area of Jordan makes life just impossible for women to live there as we are all taken as being part and parcel of them, Phillipinos, Russians especially and believe you me, they are everywhere you go. Sad to see a Mulsim country turn into a slut house to encourage tourism. If you respect your faith, then throw these women and men out of your country and do not encourage it.

Men in Aqaba, especially taxi drivers have to stop harrassing women for sex to pay them for their services, which is rife. Horrible. Tourism pays wages, worldwide and showing off Wadi Rum and Petra is not enough in that part of the world. Also very expensive to eat out and sorry us foreigners drink alcohol, but it's very expensive compared to the rest of the world. Encourage tourism by changing things.

AMMAN AIRPORT TRANSFER

Amman Airport Private Arrival/Departure Transfer

Reviewed by Donald G, May 2011:

"Driver and vehicle were very acceptable - and in light of the driving/vehicle conditions in Amman this was most welcome. The service is on the expensive side when compared with the local taxi service but, in my opinion, most worthwhile. The driver was welcoming and very helpful. Luggage handling was completely handled at both ends of the trip in a very professional manner. I would definitely use this service again."
