They say that if your dream does not scare you, then it is not big enough.

The challenge I set for myself this time had a name ‘Wadi Rum’, which meant ‘Travelling, Living & Working Online in the Desert.

Coming back to the holy land of Jordan was an inner need for me but equally important was a good planning of the trip and the permanent availability of Internet service and electricity to charge my laptops, at least during the working week.

‘Common things’ that are taken for granted in the developed world are not so easy to find in the deep desert, believe me. In any case, you always need to take the first step and overcome fears or doubts that usually destroy the joy of expectation.

So, I had to trust someone to help me accomplish the complicated project. And this person never disappointed me. He was my Bedouin Guide, Audh Al-hasanat, who proved to be reliable and superb at handling every situation we faced.

With his pure enthusiasm, generous smile, positive spirit and above all with his love for his country and his own kingdom – the Desert- contributed to the success of this undertaking.

I want to say a Big ThankU to Audh and his hospitable people there, in the Camp, in the Village, everywhere in the area of Jordan who supported me in every way.

Audh was excellent in every role, as a tour & desert guide, a highway & desert jeep driver, a guard, always alert and ready for action and a master chef of course.

No matter what you want to experience – live an adventure in the wild life, relax drinking tea in a Bedouin’s tent, enjoy traditional food cooked in the open desert, meet with locals and learn about their traditions, sing and dance with them, or sleep under a million star sky before a marvelous sunrise - even if your dream is to live and work for some days in the desert you can trust him to organize it.

His data are at the end of the story, his English is excellent and you can find more info about him on Facebook.
Contact him, tell him what you want, follow him and expect to live the experience of a lifetime. One thing is for sure. You will want to come back.

Because seeing, smelling, touching, tasting, hearing and feeling the desert heartbeat once is never enough.
