Wadi Rum Mountain Guides

We also offer camel treks and jeep tours that will normally last the whole day (and not just two or three hours). My camp is close to Um Sabata, south of Jebel Qatar, and is one of the furthest away from the village - more than 12kms into the desert. You will find sit down toilets and showers here. The Bedouin tents are arranged in a square and will cut off most of the wind for those who want to bring their bedding outside and sleep under the stars! We warn you that our prices are not cheap, but we maintain that we offer a superior service and that the prices are amply justified. The number of thank you emails and personal recommendations that we receive seems to confirm this. Very, very few of our clients go away without telling us that for them Wadi Rum was the high point of their visit to Jordan. The prices include all meals, usually a picnic or cold lunch in the desert, except in cold weather when we service something hot. Supper is always hot, and always includes some kind of meat and vegetables. Mineral water is freely available at the camp, but you will probably want to bring some with you for the first day at least. Among other tours, we offer a very popular a'la carte scrambling programme where you can choose as many days as you like. This is a varied selection of the possibilities in Wadi Rum, including scrambling to the Burdah Arch and hiking along an east/west ridge offering magnificent views. We can also take you to Um Adaami, the highest mountain in Jordan, right on the frontier with Saudi Arabia. You can full details of all these programmes on www.rumguides.com where the prices given are up to date and all-inclusive. |
AMMAN AIRPORT TRANSFER
Amman Airport Private Arrival/Departure Transfer
Reviewed by Donald G, May 2011: "Driver and vehicle were very acceptable - and in light of the driving/vehicle conditions in Amman this was most welcome. The service is on the expensive side when compared with the local taxi service but, in my opinion, most worthwhile. The driver was welcoming and very helpful. Luggage handling was completely handled at both ends of the trip in a very professional manner. I would definitely use this service again."
