Where can I find baby pork ribs in Amman?

Answer: Since I live in Aqaba, I could only do a quick Google search on the subject for the moment which brought back the following results:

* Safeway,
* a shop called Al Ahlia Abela in Shmeisani,
* and a Fresh Pork Meat shop near Mecca street (see picture above).

Maybe Carrefour is also worth trying.

I will ask our local Christian supermaket owner here in Aqaba, maybe he can give more information on where to buy pork products in Amman.

hey guys......thanks so much for all your help...i did manage to find the ribs (frozen - from Spain) exactly at the shop you have recommended not too far from Mecca Mall...Ester yes, it is the shop of the picture :-) cooking away as we speak! thanks again and will look forward to more chats about how to discover Jordan together soon! I spoke to Mr Mohannad here in Aqaba and he also recommends this pork meat shop opposite Grand Supermarket.
The owner's name is Mr Asad and the phone number of the shop is 06-5856698.

Can someone confirm whether this shop on the photo above is the same one we are talking about?

Basically if you go up the street from the roundabout (Mecca Mall would be on the left hand side on the way up) stay to the right when you come to the underpass and take the right hand turn (one way street) and the Pork Shop is round to the right on the left hand side.

The only place to buy fresh pork

Basically, the Pork Shop opposites to the Grand Supermarket inside Mecca Street (the other side of Mecca Mall), is the only place where you can buy fresh pork.

The owner is very friendly and he would do the cuttings according to customer's special requests.

I am up in Amman planning on bringing back pork from the pork store. I was in there before and saw frozen pork tenderloins and pork loin roasts. You should call about ribs. The number is 06-5856698. I never checked to see if they had this kind of meat at Cozmo because I didn't have a cooler but I know everyone talks about this store.

I wouldnt even bother with Safeway or carrefour. Cozmo or the fresh pork meat place are set bets. The other places mentioned I have no experience with.
